Treatment Foster Care Case Manager (BSW/MSW)
Pillar & Vine is a child placing agency located in FDL County that works with the Wisconsin State Department of Children & Families and placing counties to provide positive and supportive foster homes for children as well as appropriate supports.
SUPERVISION:
The Treatment Foster Care Case Manager (Case Manager) is responsible to the Casework Supervisor.
ROLE OF THE POSITION:
The Case Manager delivers professional level social work case management services to children & families placed in foster care; and performs other supportive duties such as parent/child visitation supervison.
LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
The Case Manager must recognize and quickly communicate to the Casework Supervisor, situations that may have serious adverse effects on the health, safety or welfare of foster children and/or parents.
Support the foster parents and children placed in their home, work with bio-parents as appropriate and implement case plan.
Transport children to and from visits with their natural parents and/or siblings and other transportation issues.
Supervise visits between children and their parents.
Clearly and accurately document visit activities in an objective manner.
Communicate with collateral contacts in a professional manner. Be available for crisis-on-call coverage as assigned.
LIST OF SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB:
Excellent writing skills and ability to record observations.
Ability to follow directions and adhere to rules and regulations.
Possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work (preferred) or a Bachelor Degree in Social Work . We may consider a related field that will allow state certification.
Be a current certified social worker for the State of Wisconsin per DCF 56
Be at least twenty-one years of age.
Excellent driving record, ability to be added to company auto policy without surcharge, a current driver’s license, reliable transportation to work.
Three references and through background checks will be completed including FBI Criminal History fingerprint check must be completed by all employees who will have unsupervised access to children or vulnerable individuals.
Employees should have a minimum of one year’s experience working with children; have a sense of humor, enjoy working with kids and families, a willingness to help and to be flexible and comfortable with people of different backgrounds.
Possess the skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behavior of children and families in the foster care system.
The Case Manager must be able to recognize when to seek guidance or direction from their chain of command and be sensitive to issues that may extend beyond his or her immediate job responsibilities.
SCHEDULE:
Flexible schedule but usually M-F with after school time home visits scheduled when kids are in school. You will work some outside of business hours (to accommodate working families) and you must be willing and available to do crisis-on-call coverage as scheduled. Case managers work directly with their assigned families to create schedules. Office hours are required per the Executive Director.

Mileage driven will be reimbursed at the current Pillar & Vine mileage reimbursement rate per the Employee Handbook. Agency vehicles must be utilized if available.
