🛠️ Opportunity Snapshot

As a Steel Associate I, you’ll perform foundational steel fabrication and production tasks under the direction of a manufacturing supervisor or team lead. This role supports fabrication processes including drilling, grinding, cutting, and basic welding while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning or growing a manufacturing career who enjoys hands-on work, learning fabrication skills, and working in a collaborative production environment.

💡 What You’ll Do

• Perform basic steel fabrication tasks including drilling, grinding, cutting, and punch press operations
• Conduct basic MIG welding as needed
• Operate equipment such as drill press, band saw, grinders, belt sanders, and related tools
• Label finished goods accurately according to work orders
• Inspect products during and after fabrication to ensure quality standards
• Move materials and finished goods using pallet jacks or forklifts (certification required/obtained)
• Issue materials according to work orders using ERP systems
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic operational readiness
• Follow all safety policies, work rules, and housekeeping standards

✅ What You Need to Succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Ability to read basic blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
• Basic math skills including measurements, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance
• Ability to work independently while supporting team production goals

💪 Physical & Work Environment Expectations

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and manual fabrication work
• Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

💲 Pay & Benefits
