POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Staff Accountant position is responsible for performing a wide range of accounting tasks. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Bank’s reported financial results, and ensure the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting:
· Preparation of the monthly Director’s Report
· Preparation of required quarterly regulatory reports
· Preparation of worksheets to support the annual audit of financial statements
· Preparation of customized reports from IQ (Core Processor Database) i.e. Asset/Liability Monthly Management Reports.
· Oversees the fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
· Wire Transfers
- Liaison with Financial Auditors, internal auditors, and regulators.
- Ensures internal controls are in place and functioning such as accounts payables, employee accounts, account reconciliations, financial statements, teller balancing, and wire transfer.
- Supports CFO in review and development of financial policies.
- Participates on Committee/Team assignments.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with Business/Accounting emphasis or equivalent work experience
· 3-5 years Staff Accountant experience
· Equivalent combination of education or experience
· Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards

Physical Requirements
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to use a computer and other office equipment
· Specific vision abilities required by this job also include the ability to read and decipher company and departmental communications.
· Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs waist height
