Office Coordinator & Marketing Assistant
This position plays an important role in keeping our downtown office organized and running smoothly while also assisting with marketing, business communications, social media, and special events. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working with people, can balance multiple projects, has strong attention to detail, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the workplace.
Assist with general office organization, data entry, filing, ordering supplies, note-taking, and maintaining office documents.
Monitor the general DFP email inbox and assist with phone and in-person correspondence.
Maintain and regularly update the DFP Master Database with downtown business and property information.
Assist with general computer, printer, and phone system troubleshooting.
Attend occasional networking events.
Marketing & Communications
Help maintain DFP social media accounts.
Create engaging social media content highlighting downtown businesses, events, and activities.
Design posters, flyers, advertisements, and other promotional materials using Canva Pro.
Maintain and update information on the DFP website, including events, staff information, and other content.
Downtown Business Support
Communicate regularly with downtown Fond du Lac business and property owners.
Serve as a friendly and professional point of contact for event information, business resources, and general questions.
Help maintain strong relationships between DFP and our downtown community.
Special Event Support
Assist behind the scenes with event supplies, registrations, ticketing, and other event needs.
Help track event data, surveys, and reporting.
Assist with special events as needed, which may include occasional nights and weekends.
Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
Creative and excited about marketing and social media
Detail-oriented and dependable
A positive team player who is also comfortable working independently
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, social media platforms, and WordPress
Comfortable learning and troubleshooting basic office technology
