Food Service Workers

Job Description 

St. Mary’s Springs Academy (SMSA) in Fond du Lac, serving students in preschool through high school (PK-12), is seeking qualified applicants for Food Service Workers for the 2025-2026 school year. Servers and clean-up workers would work 18.75 hours per week; the Production worker would work 27 hours per week - Monday-Friday, potential job sharing opportunities. Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the school lunch program within a team environment. Examples of Duties 

Server and Clean up duties include: line prep, serving, point of sale, washing dishes and cleanup.

Production worker would assist Kitchen Manager with food preparation for student lunches, serving of food and point of sale duties, washing dishes and cleanup as needed.

Required Experience or Qualifications 

  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Nature of work requires moderate physical effort, continuous standing, and ability to lift 30-50lb occasionally.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary and previous food services experience is required.
  • Demonstrates dependability, punctuality, integrity, and desire to learn.
  • Follow established procedures for work place cleanliness, sanitation and allergen awareness.
  • Ability to learn and follow the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) requirements.
  • Independent self-starter able to work quickly and concisely under time constraints.

Other requirements 

Milwaukee Archdiocesan Safe Environment class and background check required prior to start date.

Pay Type 

Hourly

Benefits 

Wages commensurate with experience. Twenty five percent partial tuition remission. Childcare available. Benefits subject to eligibility criteria.
