Events
Empty Bowls, established in 2002, is a community-driven effort to fight hunger. The three-fold purpose of this event is to promote an awareness of hunger in our community and world; create an awareness of art education and its impact on civil and social responsibility; and provide an opportunity for the community to come together to raise money for local food pantries and shelters. Proceeds from this event benefit area food pantries. This year’s event will be held at Avenue 795 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Take out is available at 12:30 p.m. (take out must be preordered). Tickets are $18 and includes 6 soups, bakery, a dessert, and water or milk. Proceeds are donated to six local food pantries. There will also be an opportunity to purchase tickets to win raffle baskets. Is there anything we can do to make this event as accessible and enjoyable as possible for you? We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and has a great experience, so please let us know if there are specific accommodations or assistance that would enhance your enjoyment by contacting us at: info@envisiongreaterfdl.com $18 per ticket No refunds will be given on purchased admission to this event.
