Long-term Kindergarten teacher


Job Description

St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking a long-term Kindergarten substitute teacher to conclude the 2025-2026 school year and fill in for a personal leave of absence. We are looking for a third member of a wonderful Kindergarten team that works well together and supports our small class sizes. Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in elementary or early childhood education.

A successful candidate understands and has experience in current practices and methodologies in Elementary Education. SMSA is seeking a candidate that has a desire to work collaboratively with our kindergarten team and a classroom instructional aide. The candidate is flexible in planning, inclusive, and differentiated instruction and assessments. The candidate is willing to support an environment where students are encouraged to explore and reach for academic excellence at their developmental level and include Catholic teachings and practices into the curriculum.

Required Experience or Qualifications

The long-term substitute will teach clear learning targets for weekly lesson plans for elementary students; consistently implement instructional best practices; and facilitate instruction leading to successful student growth. We believe quality people give students the opportunity to learn, develop character, and support a community of learners to grow closer to their purpose.
